The Icing on the Fountain

Schonbrunn Palace grounds
Apparently the nymphs don't mind the cold - and neither do the pipes. Lisa and I were amazed that the fountains were running, given the rather chilly temperature. This is on the grounds of the Schonbrunn Palace, the Hapsburgs' summer residence perhaps ten miles from the center of Vienna. The palace is said to rival Versailles. I haven't been to Versailles, but the interior of the Schonbrunn Palace was incredibly ornate, lavishly guilded, and sometimes phenomenally ugly. The grounds were huge, and much more to my taste.
